I just wanted to make my mandatory introduction thread, even though I'm the admin. I'm Daveybird, I like auto racing, American Football (soccer, yuck!), Basketball, Boxing, Kickboxing, MMA, art, video and computer games, and just technology in general. I started this forum because a few months ago, the MaxMyKal forum disappeared, and with it, the Maximum-Football Community, and I wanted to save the game and reboot. I'm hoping to attract old MaxFB players as well as new ones, and bring new life to the game and community. My avatar and internet persona is basically me with a cardinal bird head. I get a little mad when people tell me their opinion on things and I disagree, but I handle myself pretty good when compared to others. People online say I'm immature, but I live in a group home and am a client at an ARC, with tons of intellectually disabled (mental retardation) people, and I bet if most of my friends from there were to join the forums I did, they'd get perma-banned instantly.

My favorite forms of art are 3D (DAZ Studio), modeling clay, and paper (card stock).

I'm currently a student at Ivy Tech Evansville, and I'm going for a degree for Automotive Technology. I want to be ASE certified, work at a small auto repair shop, and eventually work at a dirt racing chassis shop. I've liked Auto Racing longer than I've liked American Football or Basketball.

I am a huge follower of Dirt Oval racing, whether it be Street Stocks, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Late Models, or Sprint Cars. I go to the races, used to watch them on TV (until the Speed Channel turned to Fox Shit 1, will definitely get MavTV when I get a chance), I still watch dirt racing on YouTube, and I race a lot of Dirt Racing mods for Sim Racing Games, mainly NASCAR Heat, rFactor, and a little bit of Dirt Track Racing 2. I also make mods for those games.

I obviously make mods for Maximum-Football. My main thing is High School and College. My Indiana High School mod will probably have 30 teams, mainly from the Central and Southwestern regions of Indiana, where I have lived. My College football mod will be smaller, with about 10-15 of my favorite teams, like IU, Notre Dame, Purdue (They're not my favorite, I'm an IU fan. I just want an Old Oaken Bucket game for Maximum-Football), Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Oregon, Baylor, Miami Florida, etc.

I found out about Maximum-Football when I was searching mods for Madden 08 for the PC during my High School Years. A screenshot from Maximum-Football popped up, I looked at it, read some info about it, bought it, played it, and customized. For awhile I even put myself in the game, taking a photo of my face, one smiling for the portrait, another stoic for the in-game model. I was thinking about doing the same thing for a fictional High School league (not Indiana), but I'm too old for high school, so I'm putting myself on a Semi-Pro or Minor League team. I just love the customization for this game.

First, I'd like to say thanks for putting up a forum again for this game! I'm a relative newcomer to MaxFB (got it late last year), but I've played Sierra Football Pro series for years and of course, Madden. Fan of most sports, and my primary college allegiance is to Penn State, and am an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams. Also a fan of the CFL (Edmonton). I do like soccer (sorry, acquired taste hehe) and rugby.

I'm not real experienced with making mods for MaxFB but willing to learn/improve. Working on some league databases (real players) for a combo WLAF/NFL Europe league, and a few indoor unis as well. Was referred to here by DonMVP, who was with me over at Mykal's board.

DAVEYBIRD , I thought i`d put the link for this site at maxium forum , the one the game originally had before MYKAL and a few others started sites. That way hopefully more people will join the site . Hopefully definately guys who helped more with the game.

I remember that one, on Matrix Games. When MaxMykal's forum was shut down, I Googled "Maximum Football Forums," and it showed up. If enough of the modders from MF's glory days show up here, people will probably get more help and content here than at the official forum!

Also, I might've mentioned swapping out and backing up default files to make the player customization easier, and today I found a way to do it easier. It's called GME, Genric Mod Enabler. All it is is a file swapper. You put GME's EXE in the game's root folder, then make a Mods folder. Inside the Mods folder you will need to make a folder for the default files, and one for every default file replacement pack. Then, inside those folder, use the same structure as the root folder. Open up GME's EXE, and switch between which folder you want to replace files from. I've been using it for Madden 08 for a while now, to switch between default, High School, NCAA, and current NFL for awhile now, and I tried it for Maximum-Football skin/hand/face/portrait swapping, and it works!

I do hope to get back to this game at some point. I gave up PC games in order to record the new album I've been working on for the last three years. I loved the customization of this game but also had my problems playing it. And as time went on it appeared to me fewer people were even using Maximum Football any longer. But I am thankful Daveybird has taken up the cause moving forward. The GME tool mentioned sounds awesome. I want to get better overall but for now just consider me a newbie.

I'm BlueBlitz. I was in the MaxMykal forum as Hawk12 and although i posted few times there i downloaded a lot of stuff to make MaxFB a better game. I collected tons of stadiums, uniforms and playbooks since 2012 but i don't know exactly the authors of every stuff (anyone remember those users who released things at MaxMykal? DONMVP, RedWolf, GarySorrell, DreamTeams, Brockleigh, Tullius and MaxMykal comes to my mind now).

I have a long time not playing regulary MaxFB, but after my experience playing Football Manager (a soccer managment game) i wanted to play again. I always thought that Maximum Football is a unique game, not perfect, but with some of the best customizable options i ever seen in a sports game.

The only things i made for MaxFB where fantasy uniforms for my leagues and although i don't have enough free time to dedicate to make more i could share some of my stuff.

Thank you Davey for making a new forum!. I was sad when the MaxMykal Forum went down because was the only place to get everything for this game.
